Maybe not in the US where you show no signs of giving up your love affair with fossil fuels, but in Europe the plan has to be to replace your primary car with EVs. Otherwise EVs remain the preserve of a wealthy minority. I actually live in a small country (Ireland) but it’s not small enough for me to switch to an EV

The rumors are strong that there’s a refresh coming for the S/X, possibly tied to Battery Day or announcement of the tri-motor versions. Search for ‘project palladium’ to see reports on the rumored updates.

I agree, nice to see a normal, non-depressed take.

You mean the headline where the body of the article directly contradicts it by explaining that Porsche is going to delay model(s)?

What a positive spin! Or is that a payment to read Porsche’s spin? Who knows. Last time I questioned their INTEGRITY I got greyed.

This is more realistic. Minus the Goat

As cool as personal EV’s are or will be, delivery van EV’s are where the biggest quality of life improvement will be seen the soonest. A world without noisy diesel UPS & FedEx trucks is very desirable.

The S actually looks remarkably fresh still. Had a bit of a spaceship vibe to it when it first came out, and now that family sedans have picked up the baton on spaceship styling, it just looks like it belongs. So yeah, if they want to be aspirational, probably time for a refresh.

What are you talking about? The Model 3 SR is the most common Tesla on the road. Been in a coma for 2 years?

It is a little weird to see this come full circle. I remember the argument against Tesla for the longest time was that they can’t be considered a competitor to any luxury brand because price alone wasn’t enough to qualify. To see the opposite argument now being made, that because of their prices they have to be

1st gear: Note that Porsche trying to one-up Tesla is exactly what he wants. It will only lead to more publicity and speed up the migration to BEVs and mass consumer acceptance of them.

The growth rate of puppies is mind-boggling.  There were times when I could have sworn my pup woke up from a nap bigger than when he fell asleep.

First Gear: I’m tired of everyone trying to outdo Tesla. Its not looking like anyone will be able to. So please just do your own thing and own up to your slow sales. From the numbers I could find, this thing is super low volume. They only sold 818 in June. I don’t see it selling even 5k a year here in the US.

Neutral: Busy as hell. Lots of reasons, but here’s the headline.

We’ve already seen the good from Porsche. Expensive and not as good of a range. So much for bringing up a “Tesla Killa”

Yeah, so its an aspirational tattoo then?  They sure haven’t killed them yet with this.

How many times does everyone from Porsche to Polestar need to be told? Sort out your charging networks or Tesla will continue to eat your lunch. Its Tesla’s only real USP and yet none of the traditional car manufacturers seem to understand its the priority.

That’s just silly. Now, the Pandemic Turbo on the other hand...

Tesla is well on its way to becoming a mass-market car maker. Et tu, Porsche?

I’ve never liked the looks of this and couldn’t put my finger on it, but this angle highlights the part I hate most.
