I sat in both a BMW M3 and a Tesla Model 3 yesterday. The amount of creaking plastic in the BMW was embarrassing. The Model 3 interior was eye opening for how well it was put together, with the only disappointing part being the shiny plastic of the middle closing compartment.

It’s surprising, since obviously the guys who buy the big shiny trucks, do so because they care about their image, about “what people think”. Yet they are completely oblivious of the stereotype associated with such a purchase: “big truck, small....”

If I remember correctly, Uber’s Elevate program will have the hardware/navigating software from partner companies (the ones actually designing the drone-taxis), while Uber will take care of the interface with the customers (scheduling, pickups etc). Kind of what they do now with cars.

Or you know, the inside of the vehicle has cameras, and if damage is detected or reported, they can easily identify who it was and bill them (since you’ll need a card on file like you do with Uber).
