Have they directly compared the SS 1LE and Mustang GT PP2? I remember reading a story where they extrapolated a time based on what Ford told the editor the PP2 package improves over PP1 but I dont remember a heads up comparo? 

The cheapest M car is the M2 coupe and it starts at 55k (with destination, topped out its 65.4k and the only real advantage over the Mustang is a DSG trans) where the topped out Mustang GT premium with PP2 and Recaros with special paint and stripe costs 55k and would curb stomp the M2 on any given day of the week

Yeah, take away the 305 section Sport Cup 2s that come with the 1LE package, and put some normal street tires and then they are about equal. People always overlook the 1LE tire.
