I think whatever the explanation is could be innocent enough, but wanted to call attention to the phrasing of their statement, which makes it appear as if, long before fans saw and started debating it, Nintendo had already planned to take it out (and thus it showing up in the Treehouse session was a mistake).
“Political Correctness” is a made up term used to denigrate what is, in reality, simple politeness and respect for others. People who complain about political correctness are, to a person, actually complaining that they are unable to get away with being an asshole without consequences.
I think it’s a new animation for his forward smash. I believe they’re trying to make his animations look more like the source material across the board, which is good in general but bad in this specific instance. I’m glad they’re removing the racist imagery.

I think I speak for many dems/libs/progs when I say that there was too much emphasis put on four or five races, and not enough put on state races and ballot issues, that have long-term effects that help us.
