Simpsons always played toward a “Act I winds up spinning off somewhere you didn’t expect” structure. I’d argue that the real impact of Family Guy was that Simpsons almost completely dropped cutaway gags...and started incorporating the more outlandish material into the “reality” of Springfield.

Can the police PLEASE start profiling people who own cars like that? There’s somebody in our town who has their car and lawn covered with signs like that I wouldn’t be surprised if they would do something similar.

Gamestop employee here. Legit had a dad trading in his two son’s switches for the fortnite ones. Tried to talk him out of it, but he said it was worth paying a hundred bucks each for the exclusive skins. I'm still confused.
