Right? That’s always bugged me, the show treated the lab like it was completely distinct from the town instead of the major driver of the local economy it would actually be

This Mister Falcon needs to Back the Truck Up about this
I think it was the best choice for the narrative, but I was really hoping we’d see the OG lineup fighting onscreen together in IW2:
Turns out telling the independent contractor who did marble installation in your new casino that you’re only going to pay him 60% or you’ll tie him up in court for the next few years is different than negotiating international trade/military/diplomatic agreements.
You nailed it. I also think that’s what’s damaging about worldviews like Brooks’, serious questions about the status quo are followed about 80% of the way before the logic underpinning the original systemic problem is brought back as a counterpoint and isn’t questioned, so the system ironically ends up stronger and…
They also got the ball rolling on the “introduce Jeremy Renner in a sequel then quietly phase him out a few movies later” trend that’s taken Hollywood by storm
They just want to smile until everyone stops asking them about stuff and gets back on the revenue treadmill. People who want to engage with them about the issues will never because they see it as a deeper shared truth instead of a negotiation
GMG has a strong union that protects editorial independence. That’s why they’re able to publish stuff like this:
do you get angry at actors on screen when they play EVIL as part of the character?
Really, I feel like I heard all about that here:
Two untitled live-action movies slated for November 8, 2019 and February 21, 2021 have been removed from Disney’s schedule entirely
Most people are right handed and stand directly in front of their closets. To pull a shirt out to look at the front, and if they decide to wear it, they’re unhooking it and removing it with their dominant hand. If they’re pretty familiar with how to use a closet, they’ve unconsciously removed any need for a hand switch
The third act showed real promise, a can easily see a few really fun sequels that keep that tone but ditch some of the more Chronicle inspired stuff and redesign the suits, robots and monsters to look less Transformers-y so they’re easier to follow on the screen
The most reliable pool of voters are the elderly, and people have an tendency towards voting for people who remind them of themselves (or respected family members). It’s not the only factor, but it helps skew the average
Republican voters may say they won’t vote for him, but when the chips are down they’ll come through. They talk a big game but as long as you have the R next to your name they’ll come through
Shrek only used the song because the filmmakers had used it as placeholder music for the opening credits and they never came up with anything they thought was better
Keep in mind: This movie is so deeply 1999 that its end-credits song is literally Smash Mouth’s “All Star.”
I really don’t have a problem with Pelosi normally, but she needs to fuck pride right now and realize what’s going to get voters into booths this November
Portability, my friend
If they were decent people, they would be educated on the particulars. It’s one thing to not really understand the ins and outs of Medicare, it’s another entirely to hear about toddlers being pulled from their mother’s arms and not decide to pull your phone out of your pocket and do a little reading
