I agree, but they didn’t have to write him that way, they made a choice to. Pickle Rick was a culmination of those choices, and in my opinion that’s why the best moments of the back half of the season didn’t really involve Rick

True, but that feels more like a writer’s room contrivance more than an organic growth from the story. Logically, there are dozens of ways Rick could eliminate Jerry with no consequences, and those are just the ones we’ve seen onscreen

I’m not betting against the creative team, but the Vindicators and the ABCs of Beth really highlighted the lack of meaningful consequences for Rick.
