Ingrid Bolso Berdal, a phenomenal Norwegian actress. She's like the Cate Blanchett of Norway, so it's weird seeing her in a bit part.

I liked it. Especially how there was no prologue or info-dump to get us into the world. The mystery of it is revealed gradually through character and smart dialogue.

I was heavily into reading Ellroy when this movie came out. I remember hearing about it and knowing that there was no way known they could faithfully translate Ellroy's sprawling, dark, twisted narrative into a big-budget Hollywood feature.

Can I just say that Paz putting her hair up in the 'Judith' video is one of the sexist things ever captured on film.
