I hardly ever, actively, shop for shoes. I usually browse the clearance racks looking for high-end shoes for half-price or less. However, my work requires several miles of walking on less than ideal surfaces, everyday. I prefer to wear comfortable boots with suitable traction, and will wear out a quality pair of boots

The absence of remodeling leads me to conclude the patient didn’t make it.

Boil a cup of water in there first and it works even better. Same thing when you want to pop popcorn.

There’s one in Springfield, MO, but I can’t find any video.

Basic LED TV. No frills. Paired with a Raspberry Pi and a 5.1 Surround System, it fulfills all my viewing needs. When originally purchased in January of 2014, it was a deal at $550. I see it frequently for less than $450, now.

Yup, I get $25 knocked off my bill every month for all my lines that are out of contract. I will never get a phone through Verizon, again. The newest phone in our family is a Motorola Droid Maxx HD, it was purchased from an acquaintance whose daughter decided she wanted an iPhone after having it for a week. I plan on

Maglite quality has been on the decline for the past ten years. I would choose Ozark Trails, Walmart’s house brand, over Maglite.

If weight and size are not an issue, a carpet sample or short runner does wonders for smoothing out a place to sleep and helps insulate you from the ground.

Cut several Funoodles in half lenghtwise and stake them under the uphill edge of your ground tarp. Rain water will run under the tarp and it’s a lot easier and works better than trenching.

It really does last for 72 hours. Best I’ve found.

My work requires a lot of walking. In the last eight years, I’ve worn out three pairs of Dr. Martens, a pair of Vasque, a pair of Keen, and a pair of Combat Boots. This year, I bought a pair of Dr. Martens for Life. I found that they run a little larger than my other DMs, but after three months of daily use, they show

I found that picking the skins off the garbanzos after boiling, makes for a nice smooth texture.

I have a mechanic that works in a shop during the day, but does work on the side, at home, after hours. He charges me about half of what it would cost for labor in the shop, can usually get a discount on parts and will do emergency repairs. I always try to give him a little extra. A few years back, my brakes went out

I usually tuck the end of the legs under/into the flap on the bottom of the opening of the cavity.

Just try not to think of the really tiny spiders, the ones that you can barely see. You could have a MILLION of them on you, RIGHT NOW, and you wouldn’t even know it.

A thousand stars for this post.

My vote, too. I gave my old M16 with the double lock to my daughter to carry on campus, and got a new one from Woot. The new one has only a single lock, but I still think it is the best knife I’ve ever had.

As a kid in the seventies, I walked from school to my mother’s store downtown. It was well over a mile walk, through traffic, at ten years of age. I would take back alleys and detours all the time. This was in a town of 30,000 people. In the summer, I would roam to the newstand, the dime store, the movie theatre, and

I prefer A&D Ointment, the lanolin and fish liver oil are better for the leather. One pound tub is $11 and good for lots of different things.
