Fluid rings (smoke rings, water rings, etc) are some of the most hydrodynamically stable natural formations and are relatively easy to produce, both naturally and artificially. Enough said.

I have a different opinion. I rather like the show. Yes, it can be improved a lot and it's moving very slowly, but at least it's moving in the right direction.
