The shadows.
The shadows.
I am ewith you. FFS- give the guy a break- he is TRYING and DOING a whole fucking lot to TRY and improve the fuckery of the last few hundred years. That doesn’t happen overnight. Cant we just be happy someone in his vaulted position is taking it all on- even if it is only with soundbites and proclamations? Its a damn…
I did it! He was super chill about it, which re-iterated what a nice dude he is and what a nice time we had. Thanks!
I once met him in a hotel bar (true story, y’all get real jealous now). He was playing piano and singing - SO HOT. When my friend and I discovered it was him, we sneakily tried to take a picture of ourselves with him in the background. He totally busted us - he sauntered over and said: girls, if you want a picture…
I think I’m unique in that because I am a regular and I post on reddit regularly, too. Reddit is pretty awesome in my little corner of it (less scary than Kotaku lol), but I also recognize I live in a tiny bubble over there. There are some horrible spots there and I stay far, far away from there - like I do with…
Your argument is that the phrase “women have two X chromosomes” is transphobic? Because there are literally billions of women out there with two X Chromosomes. Nowhere does that sub imply that trans people aren’t allowed, or that ONLY individuals with two X chromosomes are women.
I am experiencing (maybe witnessing?) significant cognitive dissonance at everyone talking about how awful reddit is, when gawker media as a whole, including all sites—writers and commenters—while having many positives—isn’t exactly a fount of enlightened thought.
There are people posting about how much Reddit sucks right now on a site whose CEO personally defended posting a sex tape of two people engaging in private, consensual (if a little messed up ethically) intercourse.
You do realize that there are a whole lot of people out there with 2 X chromosomes? And most of that group is women?
I signed the petition as I think Ellen Pao is not a good CEO and should be ousted, which is what the petition is about. You are entitled to your opinion, but please don’t call those who signed it “racist/misogynists.”
It’s annoying when people who have valid criticisms and complaints instead resort to racism or misogyny (or etc) rather than actually arguing their position. It’s like, you had a point, but now I can’t take you seriously because you appear to be a horrible person. :/
I realize that this comparison isn’t perfect, because it isn’t based on religious beliefs, but there were many restaurants in this country who refused to serve people of color until there was enough pressure placed on them. One way to place pressure on these businesses is to sue them.
I’m with you. You can be both self serving and kind at the same time - there’s no need for those to be mutually exclusive. Lots of people do volunteer work that helps them gain job experience, or get their name out there - but they also do it because they have a passion for the cause and are doing a good thing. I hate…
So aggravating. I know plenty of gun owners (conservatives, and I tend to disagree with them about everything) but like, they ALL concede that guns are dangerous. The point of owning them is to cause great danger to someone who is causing great danger to you.
He’s also not the first person to wander into a mall with a gun after a mass shooting. Joseph Kelley carried firearms to a mall in Utah after the Sandy Hook shooting to show people that guns aren’t dangerous.
