It’s light reflecting off the trophy.

I kneeled when the match ended. Only the second time I ever did, the first being when I just dropped when Justin Brownlee (remember him?) nailed the game winner in last year’s PBA Governor’s Cup Ginebra-Meralco final. But there are two key differences.
None. She is a top five greatest athlete of any gender.
How many press secretaries do you think he’s going to run through in the first year?
People mocked W. when he stated in 2004 that he had been given a “mandate” after narrowly defeating John Kerry. But W. actually DID beat Kerry in the popular vote (not by very much, but he did). Trump couldn’t even do that. He’s always going to be under that cloud, but he can’t accept that.
The alternative fact of the matter is that he won 95% of the total votes and his approval rating is higher than an adorable kitty hiding in a box of packing peanuts
When more people actually voted for your opponent, it’s hard to rally the proverbial troops under the banner of “look how much support I have!”
I hear you girl. A casually racist white guy got elected president. Just like EVERY SINGLE OTHER PRESIDENT save the last one and maybe Carter. White people sat around and voted for this dude as if it was not a big deal. Now they want to get all heated and protest and talk about a “Revolution.” GTFOH, they gotta be…
Unless you’re 15 years old or under you get a pass. But if you’re a grown ass white woman who only until recently became aware of the social injustices going on in this country then NO, you don’t get a pass. They aren’t saying “this isn’t good enough” they are saying DO MORE. Sorry if I don’t bend to #whitewomen…
You guys are nothing if not predictable.
I’m gonna sound like an ass when I say this and I don’t really mean to, but I can’t necessarily think of a better way to say it so: Why should they feel great?
I think the point was to bring attention to the fact that people have been protesting for a while now with little to no help. If the new people are truly wanting to make a difference and are committed to shaping the future, I doubt they would be discouraged reading this.
It’s not good enough. You don’t get a cookie for this. It’s literally the least one can do (besides not showing up). I don’t need to be respectful of people who haven’t earned respect. I respect people who show up to BLM protests time after time. I respect people who phone bank for campaigns, and canvass. I respect…
I want to be with you on this, I want to say that we should encourage the people who came out to keep doing the same thing, but on the other hand things like these are meant to be challenging. If you go there and you’re triggered by truth in the form of people noting on their signs that 53% of white women voted for…
The Obamas have the gift of charisma (both of them) without the whiff of scandal and the extraordinarily public marital difficulties, as the Clintons do. It makes sense.
I didn’t really think about it until just now. If Hillary had won I think I would still be weepy about the Obamas. The fear would be absent but the sense of loss would still be strong. I voted for Hillary, for Hillary and I was excited but in my heart of hearts I never felt the same joy as I do when thinking about…
I agree that we didn’t deserve him. We were very lucky for eight years, luckier than we know.
In case anyone doesn’t know, a big part of the reason why Obama has granted so much more clemency than previous presidents is because he is effectively making the Fair Sentencing Act retroactive. The Fair Sentencing Act reduced the crack/cocaine sentencing disparity that had been widely criticized as racially biased.…
Thanks, Obama.
