I heard from a fellow Jalop that the longer wheel base versions had a different transmission that was way more reliable and worth the premium.

Someone in my town just got an appliance beige one back on the road, I see it almost daily now and it looks in great shape.

Worked for a Navy contractor for about 10yrs. One summer we had 3 carriers in and soon as the weather turned warm they were losing at least 1 sailor a week to motorcycle crashes. Navy asked all the dealers to stop selling bikes to sailors and banned the riding of them to lower ranks for a few weeks.
