Shit, I learned that long before I had my license! I remember a family trip way back in the mid-Seventies, we hit ungody fog on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I was only 13 or so but it scared the living shit out of me not having a clue about our surroundings.

Good for her! My mom gave up driving 3 years ago, not because she wasn’t good at it anymore but because her ever-so-faithful ‘96 Escort wagon was getting too rusty (gotta love n.e. Ohio winters...). Oh, and BTW, it was a MANUAL Escort wagon :) ! She rowed those gears like a pro!
