You know that games can update themselves, no ‘launcher’ required, right?

We had that before the rise of steam. And it would mean manually updating your game with patches you had to download. So you would go to the game website take patch 1.2.2 then take 1.2.4 and realise you forgot 1.2.2 hotfix and couldn’t jump directly to the latest. And with the great internet of old your afternoon was

...okay, and what do you do when the game has an update?

It’s not a monopoly if you’re the only one who bothers to sell a quality product.

I’m pretty sure the primary purpose of Battle.net is to cut out the middle-man and give Activision Blizzard 100% of all digital revenue. That’s the purpose of all publisher launchers.

While Battle.Net itself has, its client hasn’t.

What’s sad is how little Battle.net has evolved since then. When you compare it to Steam, the difference is quite stark.

Or, here’s another take.

Don’t know anything about British law but demanding they not allow mods seems sort of like demanding that a paper company prevent its paper from having copyrighted works printed on it....

I don’t think you understand what the term “public domain” means.

“the data is publicly available then it’s in public domain”

If your face shows up on fb because you were with someone who uses fb, that does not give people the right to use your image. fb is not “publicly available”, like a newspaper or an image on TV. You have to join fb and give up some basic rights to do this shit.  You may have an image on fb and not even know it, and

That’s two steps back. Wireless charging is significantly less power efficient at charging a battery then wired charging and probably degrades battery capacity faster.

Jalopnik writers, like most journalists, don’t specialize in data based analysis. It’s  easier to just get mad and make a bait driven hit piece.

seriously, these conclusions...

Yeah any sales number comparison that doesn’t lump Chevy & GMC together is bunk. A Silverado and Sierra are more similar than a Raptor and a base F150.

Now yours sounds like a truck I can appreciate. Honest, hardworking, and not the size of a fucking aircraft carrier. Most new trucks are just incredibly stupid with their space management.

I never owned a truck until May, upon moving to Texas. Trucks are kind of a thing here.

The wheels can be quickly swapped, and the hood scoop can be removed. You may even be tempted to make this car look tasteful and close to stock.

Fake hair, thin-skinned, twitter addicted, lies about the successes of his companies, and accuses the media exposing those lies of ‘fake news.’ And now he’s arguing over what words mean, after previously being unambiguous about the term in question.
