Thank goodness it was a softball.

You’ve put forward alot of warm to slightly hot takes, and I agree with pretty much all of them (so happy you mentioned KG being an asshole, because I want to shout that from the rooftops anytime I see his or PP’s stupid faces on TV). And I also agree that DG is a more well rounded player. But, and time has fogged my

<Deep baritone mumbles and chuckles>

I love to see a comment string like this, where there are multiple entries with a bunch of stars next to it...and then this comment. With nothing. Gives you a good idea that your comment was bad.

I’ve come full circle on him. I hated him so much that I kinda respect it now. We’re just here to be entertained, after all. And he’s really embraced this persona.

I’ll admit that I’m a LeBron fan. I’ll admit that I really hate the Warriors, and pretty much every one of their players (sports hate, not like, real hate). But this outcome is probably for the best. The Cavs played about as well as they could, and yes they could/should have won. But they were/are never going to win

Yeah, that’s what we should take away, you dink.

But it’s also partially attributed to durability.

They got free national advertising by a corny but harmless chef. You are wrong to be mildly upset, and they are right to display it.

Assuming your life and property weren’t in serious risk, I almost admire their extreme Zipper NIMBYism.

Yeah, and Coca Cola tasted way better back in the day too. Or, maybe things were never as great as we remember them.

In 85-86 and 86-87 the Celtics swept the (losing record both years) Bulls in the first round. But yeah, it was sure close!

The crap thing about being a warriors hater is that your only hope of them losing is injuries. In other words, they are so good that they make you feel terrible rooting for their pain.

The Black Panther sequel should have an upgraded suit that turns him into actual LeBron James.

Since the Cavs have no chance, let’s throw out a hypothetical: you invent a time machine, grab early prime MJ, give him a year to train for the way the game is played today, and swap him out for LBJ for this series. Would he take this Cavs team any further than LeBron? I say no.

Lol. You really think he didn’t have the surgery until now because it took that long to get him in?

This won’t happen, but dammit if I don’t greatly yearn for this. Bill Simmons would explode.

I disagree. I think Brad Stevens is probably the second best coach in the league. I think the Celtics are going to dominate the East for the next decade. But this loss showed his inexperience. Game 7's are ugly, tight affairs more often than not. Young, untested players are more affected than vets. He should have

C’mon...stop it with the ‘thug’ nonsense. You have a burner account. Use the word we all know you want to use.

Fair, to a point. But the east being weak is, to a large degree, a response to LeBron. Players left to go west. Entire franchises rebuilt, in part, because they knew they didn’t have what it took to overcome.
