Other posters have have explained the varsity/junior varsity difference, but it’s also important to keep in mind that many American school systems (and employers) constantly try to extend their reach into your home and personal life even when you’re not in their building.

Hey we don’t tolerate that kind of language here.

That’s really odd. It’s not like they said “Belgium”.

Whenever an entity is attempting to gain government approval and/or money for their for-profit venture, they invariably push the “It will create X-number of good paying, permanent jobs” scenario. A good example is nearly every major sports venue built with taxpayer money in the mix in the US over the past 60 years.

X insisted that its dreaded $26.5 billion merger with rival Y was all about job creation.”

A wise old CEO told me: “Everyone loses in a merger. Everyone except one CEO and a couple of the stockholders. Everyone else gets screwed whether they can see it coming or not.”      (i took his advice, and bugged-out ahead of every (pharma) merger, and tried to take my colleagues with me.  we always did better for it

There was at least one security researcher on Twitter this morning saying the outage was caused by T-mobile trying (and failing) to integrate Sprint code to prepare for the systems merger.  I can’t say at all if there’s any truth to it...but at least people who seem to have some credibility in the field apparently

If you believed there would be no layoffs due to this merger, you are a Grade A sucker.

Let’s make sure these healthcare providers know that they can dip into their dwindling personal funds in order to provide medical and protective equipment for the patients and staff, since we, the Private Equity Fund, will do what we can to avoid buying any.

Proving once more what a wonderful concept health care as a for profit business is!

You have problem with Corporate Communist Capitalism, comrade?©®™

Imagine yourself graduating from a top tier MBA school this spring and totally pumped to work at PE firm Douchebag and Weaseldick LLP. What a jagoff.

This pandemic is revealing the best of America.

Everyone has to make sacrifices so the CEO can make his bonus. Ferrari’s aren’t cheap!

So many parallels here.

See Americans, you can have a populist despot and have fun at the same time!

This will lead to me being a hermit in the woods wearing someone else’s face as a mask any time I leave my hovel.

jag-off is another one that needs to be brought back into circulation, imho....
