If I recall correctly this was the album after their tour with Redd Kross, whose sound is all over this record.

I've still only gotten into Summerteeth and (to a lesser extent) Sky Blue Sky
Probably. My memory's a bit hazy from that time period.
I remember being a young child, probably 7 or 8, and writing a scathing review of Little Bill on its IMDb page. Someone responded to my review saying that my assertion that Little Bill was "dumb" was in poor taste since it was based on Bill Cosby's terminally ill grandson. I felt terrible.
Probably the most intensely nostalgic piece of media for me. It reminds me of both being really young when I watched it on Nick, and then being 11-12 and watching reruns on The N. I think that was my first wave of nostalgia also, seeing Pete & Pete after so many years, even just being 11 years old.
Never got into Fountains of Wayne, but Schlesinger's "Tinted Windows" supergroup made one damn fine album a few years ago.
The best Bay City Rollers song is still "Rollers Show" by Nick Lowe
No - it's his cousin Marvin! MARVIN BERRY
Whenever I host trivia nights at bars, "Why You Wanna Break My Heart" goes over pretty well
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Finally the Little Man sequel I've been waiting not-so-patiently for!
No but that's not our debate
Excited for Butch, the leadoff tracks that were released sound great. Overtly Bruce Springsteen influenced, but great.
Saw Cafe Society, which went about as expected. The scene in the beginning with Anna Camp was superb, and its standout quality seems to be the only reason it is in the movie, since it feels entirely disconnected from the rest of the film.
In fact, it was on an Ian Hunter album.
That guy from Stella?
Too easy.
Not to mention Nick Lowe. No collection is complete without Jesus of Cool and Labour of Lust
Just realized we lost two Garry's this year! Sad!
