Is that house Phil was showing a real house or a facade in a studio lot? It does look like a real odd ball of a home, even for a SoCal home.
On a separate thought… is it just me, or does the show seem to be toning down the 80's references a little more than the last 2 seasons? Sure the decor & clothes are fairly 80's along with a major pop-culture reference, but doesn't have that 'forced 80's vibe', and feels a little more comfortable with itself just set…
Unlike most other sitcom's where the kids age and rarely discuss the whole 'pubing out' as the kids age, Goldberg's struck gold (pun intended) by addressing it directly. I like the way they're handling it, and I can't wait until the Bar Mitzvah episode (April 7th or March 31st episode, if I'm not mistaken), and see…
I don't know if it's just me, but I was not feeling it this episode.
I might have to re-watch it, but the laughs weren't there like last week's episode. The whole hipster movement & trying to get a Whole Foods with the live action 'commercials' just didn't click with me.
Poor Brick, not getting any parental love. You kind of got to feel bad for him, yet laugh your ass off at some of his antics. The bookmark, I'm totally not surprised of, yet it was still funny because of the way it was portrayed.
Anyone know the line that Jeff muttered to Erica when they were at the Wawa, and he says something, hops on the skateboard and then falls on his ass? I rewound it, and still couldn't make it out (no, I didn't put on the close captioning).
No, the Lady Gaga still tales the cake for worst episode ever.
Odd, I felt it was the exact opposite.
It's good that SP is still killing people in bloody fashion. Those are always hilarious. Katlyn Jenner running over 2 people in a bloody mess & a guy splattering after jumping from a building.
Wonder what kind of cool stuff they had. Maybe a lot of hockey rinks and Tim Horton's they were missing out on?
I actually liked this episode a LOT more than last weeks. A few notes:
My ritual Thursday morning has been restored! Thanks AV Club, and thank you, ABC… always look forward to the new shows and reading the review (and subsequently, the comments) about the shows that aired the night before.
Ahh, makes a little more (ok, a lot more) sense.
Nice, I was going to pause & read it, but this just saved me some time & effort. Thanks for the transcript there.

Same here. Although the real Adam Goldberg kind of welcomes the change for more character stories involved in his childhood adolescence years, it's only season-3, and we're getting a grown up Adam already. Already missing the episodes where he was still just a kid.
Wait… if Dana is in Washington, and the series takes place in Philly, why were there some lines by Murray stating they were 3000 miles apart?
The whole Reebok pump, I was hoping would NOT be the central storyline because they pretty much did that with Goldbergs, and that is supposed to take place in the 80's. Glad that it was more or less just a throwaway gag.
That kid is an odd little fella. He's on "React" channel a lot, and rarely smiles or shows any emotion when they have him on.
