Anyone notice how much more detail they have in the animation than most animated sitcoms… some that air around 9pm? More notably, when the kids were playing in the front of the restaurant, behind the glass Bob, Linda, & Teddy were carrying on the conversation as if it were foreground material.

I was thinking the same thing. He may not have performed it per se, but he wrote the whole Topsy musical, he wrote and performed "Work Hard or Die Trying", he had out cheered his rival in "Gene it On" AND did a (somewhat) okay job for his Cutie Patooties performance on "The Kids Run the Restaurant".

Loved this episode. Then again, there has never been an episode of Bob's that I didn't like… but this stood out for its catchy 'rap' by Gene, the whole using the straws as a instrument, and even how Daryl, Peter, & Rudy kicked Gene & his sisters from the band yet kept the door open for them to return and was nice

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they use that couch gag (with the Life game parody) already last year or the year before?

Even all the newer Comedy Central ones?

Morbo- Morbo cannot read his teleprompter. He forgot how you say that letter that looks like a man wearing a hat.
Linda- "That is a T. It goes 'Thuh.' "
Morbo- Hello, tiny man. I will destroy you!

"The Day The Earth Stood Stupid" is one of my favorite episodes I can watch over & over. Nibbler & the Nibblonians. The fact that Fry is actually the smart guy (term used loosely), the jumping from book-to-book at the end…

Why is it every time I hear the name "Dave Sirota", I keep hearing
"My Sharona" by The Knack playing in my head?

Slag all the way… although everybody can't argue with the leader Grimlock.

Did the Goldberg residence call Dave Kim by his full name because it was easy to say, or to note that he had an American name with an easy Asian surname, or was it just done here for comedic effect?

Any Zoidberg episode is usually a great episode of Futurama… however, this is one episode that's usually regarded as one of the worst in the older Futurama episodes.

Oh, that's just a bunch of chutzpah!

Oh my, what's with the SPAMBOTS on this thread today?

Out of nowhere, he returns. The way he was avoiding the IRS, it appeared it was just going to be a reason to leave for the rest of the season, but instead it ends on him goin' to the track, so maybe he'll be around for another episode or two before the season finale.

Rappaport's Jay character was on the borderline annoying. He always had this perturbed look on his face when someone did the slightest bit of white. I wanted to throw a rock at his face.

Any time there's an episode with Steve Zahn, you know it's bound to be a winner.

I wouldn't be surprised. Probably took them both many takes to make it look like they were a natural when most of the time, they were probably hitting splits, gutter balls, or only a couple pins.

"tinikling to pass.."

Hmm, no blurred/bleeped curse words on The Goldbergs last nite. Guess Bev was in a good mood being the Yenta and all.

Was 'Coach Babbit' on before? It just seems like the writers were out of ideas for a name as her name seems like Pink Rabbit, just changed to Tink Babbit.
