The Maverick hybrid is 40/33 city/highway so aero is definitely a big deal but is also clearly possible to improve.

The 235 had 6 gears and this has 8 so the gear spread should be able to accommodate. A maximum of 27mpg on the highway with a car based platform seems slightly embarrassing.
