So the spring on the Datsun above will last forever without breaking? The guide that the prop slides in won’t wear out? The pivot point wont wear out or break? The prop won’t fall out of the guide ever?

I have had them go bad but the car was 25 years old and the strut cost $25 so I just replaced it. I think David doesn’t like it because a strut would have too much force for the rust holding it in on his cars and then break.

Agreed. 12oz is the perfect size for a beer at night. 16oz is best for sharing but how often do you have someone to share with? My wife doesn’t like IPAs but really likes sour beer and a lot of those come in 16oz cans now, too which is too much for her.

A spoon is the better way to pop a bottle cap. Butane on your hands is not the ideal way to start a party.

Restrained ≠ Bland

The only way it would go straight would be if the everything about the system was perfect. Any imperfection adds force in different directions other than the straight ahead.

Propshaft lengths, differentials, tyre pressure, tyre wear, road camber, road surface, car centre of gravity etc.

My old E34 had the open diff too. 70mph at 1800rpm was ridiculous. Sadly couldn’t justify keeping it.

Not a pen snob, I still think the standard BIC or Staedtler ballpoints are the best pens invented for reliability and ease of use. I use the pencil most of the time because I like the feel of pencil on paper.

I just never understood the love for gel pens as they make such a mess even when writing normally. I do a lot

Incorrect. First thing I grab is my Pentel Graphgear 1000. If I really need ink I have a Zig Mangaka 02 in sepia. You could also get many of them for $700. Gel pens smudge.

That’s just because the diff ratio on them is so long.

Talking about cars/trucks in general, not specifically the Soul.

And for the longest time only offered basic incandescent tail light assemblies. Cheaping out on tail lights for no reason also makes me annoyed.

My car has auto dimming rear view mirrors (all of them) and whenever I drive my wife’s car all I can think is; “My eyes! Ze goggles! Zey do nussing!”

Pelican deflectors.

I still can’t fathom why they broke with decades of tradition having it be a 325i vs 325ix/325xi (depending on generation) instead of this sDrive/xDrive malarkey.

But then if you have to build the robots, then you have robots build the robots. But who builds the robot building robots? Do you have robot building robots building robot building robots?

When does it end? At what point to we stop the spiral of robot building robots and then blame management?

Well it definitely helps that the E38 is the best looking BMW made in the last 30 years, possibly ever.

A guy can dream okay. A GUY CAN DREAM!

Is till remember watching a round of the WRC about 10-15 years ago where the stage was as foggy as this or even more so. They ran the stage again at the end of the rally and the top drivers were only 5 seconds faster with full visibility. The trust in the codriver was insane.
