It seems odd to me to think that there’s no reason to feel a connection to people who go to the same school as you, but some reason to feel a connection to people who play the same video game as you (talk about a transaction), but, hey, agree to disagree.

Yeah, all that goes out the window for municipal owned ones, so yes they absolutely deserve patience. If we were talking broadband from a major provider, then no, they deserve the heat.

A veteran serving as a police officer was fired for NOT shooting a Black man. As a veteran he had stricter rules of engagement and did not find Mr. Williams’ behavior to be threatening to him or other officers, so he did not shoot. Then he was fired.

Maybe it’s the stories I read, but I remain impressed how the people we train to go overseas and fight can handle this type of shit so easily while cops lose their shit if someone so much as looks at them wrong.
