moving from Georgia to Louisiana following the passing of Georgia’s racist voter suppression laws
Just curious
In the U.S. tax system, you don’t pay a flat percentage of your income. You pay a progressively higher percentage on a chunk of your income. So if you make $1M, that would put you in the 37% tax bracket, but you don’t actually pay 37% of 1M.
Something can be legal yet reprehensible / punishable by scorn on a tech blog.
They probably still don’t care. Likely wealthy enough to move/travel to a non-restrictive state for abortion and/or don’t live in a poorer community more likely to be affected by this kind of environmental fuckery.
Been using reelgood.com for a while now, it’s got good ios and browser versions. Can’t imagine needing anything further to track.
Kind of related, when will those USB-C type cables that support like 200W be available? I feel like it was May last year when the tech was announced but I can’t find any news about their release.
“Tesla is also the last remaining automobile manufacturer in California,” the company added. “Yet, at a time when manufacturing jobs are leaving California...”

I don’t think there’s anything the right can do to stop this both sides shit from many people.
...by voting for an infrastructure bill with new Amtrak funding maybe?
Keep moving those goalposts. Amtrak from Richmond to DC is terrible in terms of # trains and times available.
And if he still lives in Richmond, yes, he’s 100+ miles from the Capitol.
Yeah, if you’re a GS employee at the Pentagon or Treasury maybe. Not if you’re a US Senator for a state bordering DC. Even when Congress is in session, he probably doesn’t do it daily either.
I’ve seen this comment in a few places. If he were from a different state, then he’d likely have housing in the city for when Congress is in session. Being two hours out, I’d guess that the long commute & sometimes getting a hotel vs paying for a few months temporary housing in the city are roughly equal to him. Maybe…
This. There are folks for whom the vaccines are much less effective, but basically zero that can’t get them at all.
Assuming the states just ban this too following the SC ruling, can you order across state lines?
