“Red Shoe”

I disagree. My truck got stolen and they took the catalytic converter, battery, and radio before dumping it. Those cars got stolen for drivelines - thieves had hundreds of cars to choose from - chose those. They are going to pull the drivelines.

If you’ve ever parked your car in an airport parking garage, you might expect something in the way of security.

This is the story of the second reason I no longer enjoy being in the woods.

The Big White House

I got a 13% raise this year. I told my employer to either pay up or good luck finding someone else when pay has went up everywhere else, so fuck that 3% you need to add 10% more. Granted, being there a decade and having a ton of institutional knowledge helped my bargaining position. It is a seller’s market in

A rising tide lifts all boats.

With inflation this year they are getting a 0% raise.

Correct. This is both the labor market and customer market forces in action against a corporation who appears to have gotten to big for its britches. I hope they loose billions and can be hung up as a poster child for how not to do business.

I’m not currently in a union but wouldn’t cross a picket line ever. It’s called solidarity if you give a shit about labor.

Also, remember that harvest is right fucking now here in the midwest. This is a very important time of year for JD for parts sales.

That’s still not a suitable raise even if you’re fine with accepting it. I recommend asking for a 10% raise, and working down from there if you feel like that’s too much.

Thank you

I was a Teamster for 34 years working for that company with all the brown trucks. Never once did I cross a picket line.

It depends. I make just over 100 so the 3-4% i get every year is not pennies. 6% would be more than $500 a month for me. I would take that. But 6% after not having a raise for a while when you know what these mfers hauled in last year, FU

I mean, I know it’s Twitter, but the replies to that tweet are really something. A mix of a) people who have zero clue what’s even going on, and b) people who think the Deere workers are overpaid and need to get back to work and also fire the truck driver (as if a driver is getting fired in this economy for anything

you need to get a better paying job especially in this job market

6% is fucking garbage, and you shouldn’t be happy with the 3% you get. I got a measly 2% raise last month and I’m on the verge of just walking out of the office and never coming back. Hopefully I can find something better soon.

Million got no raises. For years.

When I was picketing with some nurses at a hospital (supporting) There were teamsters also sympathy picketing with the nurses. some truck came to deliver construction equipment and some upset and scary looking teamsters got on their cell phones and the trucks turned around and left. They said that their supervisors
