Agree with the general thrust of the article.  At the time, I thought it was unspeakably hideous.  Today I’d say the design has aged quite well.

I honestly don’t get it.  If the seller went through the trouble of getting it repainted, they could have de-copped it.  ND.

How about “Trail Boss”?

I remember looking really hard at the SRT when it was new and being scared off by the small gas tank. With the Juke (as I’m sure you know), there were different tank dimensions between the FWD and AWD models. Living in a snowy climate, I decided that the utility of AWD outweighed the fun of the 6MT. I think I glanced

I also had a Juke. It was astonishing how small the interior was. I could live with that, though. I didn’t love the looks, but I didn’t hate them either. Frankly, it was a great car for me except for 2 things: CVT and the thimble-sized gas tank. In the cold months, I wouldn’t even make it to 150 miles before the low

It’s a very tidy and cool-looking project.  But when you do something like this, you need to know that you’re kissing your money goodbye.  Sure, you can sell it one day, but even for something this elaborate, it’d probably be more of a 4-figure deal.  So, ND.

Yeah, he’s not lying per se.

The one that comes to mind is the phony electronic rustproofing solution a Jeep dealer tried to sell me. The best part about it is that the (very earnest) accessories salesman asked me if I was “an engineer” before launching into his spiel. The device he described consisted of a little control box, and apparently some

Going off of the pictures and price tag alone? NP.

Nice beard, A-Rodg.

All of this stuff sounds nice to an outsider, but the reality is that all of these sophisticated features are going to end up being a huge liability once the bloom is off the rose. There’s a reason LLVs (and the other ancillary models of mail truck) are such spartan affairs.  They get used and abused every single

My Pillow is based in my state, and I very clearly remember when it was an upstart company. Crazy Eyes Lindell wasn’t always the primary spokesman. In fact, I doubt that the product would have taken off if they’d started that way. Locally, the enterprise started with an air of credibility by paying a handful of local

Controlling things like volume and heat via a touch screen. I don’t want to have to look away from the road to adjust my music or HVAC.

My most recent vehicular purchase was a new RAM, and let me tell you: it’s damned nice. And I think that’s the problem these days. A lot fewer trucks would be sold if they were still utilitarian tools of the trade. I mean, I get that workers on a job site end up spending a lot of time in trucks for whatever reason, so

I think this is probably the key.  Clients want their spiffs.  The lure of a free steak dinner after a few rounds of golf will be enough to force plenty of offices back open.

I’m one of the few dummies that went NP on this. I don’t really know anything about these, but it seems very-well preserved. And $9K seems like a fair price if a person wants to relive their glory years without having to put in too much work, regardless of whether the car is objectively junk.

I really loved Mythbusters. It’s mind-boggling to me that Discovery pulled the plug, as it seemed like the vivacious hosts continued to enjoy their work.  I’m sure it had something to do with escalating salary demands and the studio executives believing they could accomplish the same level of infotainment for far less

Even with the late update, not sure if this is a long-con joke or an actual mistake around 2 iconic video game franchises.

I agree completely.
