That’s a good call on GM’s part. For a company with their largely-American customer base, they were never going to get a massively enthusiastic buy-in on switching to electric. The masses will have to be led to it kicking and screaming. Though there are plenty of unanswered questions around logistics they’ll need to

If the project had been completed? NP all day. As it sits? It’s similar to the guy that wants market price for all of the l33t m0dz on his clapped-out STi. Including the 5 pounds of Strawberry Dreamz vape juice that have soaked into the interior.

Like everybody else, I was beyond relieved when Biden pulled off his expected victory. But part of me would love a peek into the alternate timeline. After all, Trump declared that he would enact TREMENDOUS COVID-19 stimulus and relief “when” he got re-elected.  We all know Mitch would have sent his waddle wobbling

Who would want to inherit all of that debt?

Or, from a first-person perspective, Evangelical America’s Sweetheart™️ Kirk Cousins:

And the fuel economy reflects it, especially when there’s any sort of headwind.

Oh god, so much this. I learned this the hard way when I switched from a Renegade to a JK. The first day I got the Wrangler, I took a cloverleaf on my daily route at what I would have considered “normal” speeds in the car-based Renegade. It felt like the Wrangler was about to go up on 2 wheels. My driving habits

As a former JK (the two-door kind) owner, I can tell you that very few buyers opt for the 2-door option anymore.  On one hand, it’s understandable.  It’s a small vehicle that isn’t remotely practical until you remove the back seat completely.  But the “Unlimited” (4-door) form factor has never looked right to me.

There was a moment in that hilarious-but-deeply-alarming “All Gas, No Brakes” YouTube show that went to Sturgis, where a young lady stepped up and said she was a RN and that “COVID is bullshit.”  She very well could have been lying/exaggerating her credentials, but it would seem that even some medical professionals

This is overly-indulgent, wasteful and quite frankly pointless. But damn it, I love it.

She’s throwing out Hail Marys like the Trump campaign at this point, desperately scrambling to hold onto a shred of relevance.  Gambling on the orange man, especially on him and his party treating her as an asset over the long term?  Not such a great idea, Candi.

A former colleague was an early adopter of the Bolt, and he literally commuted nearly 200 miles a day round trip. He loved it and claims he never once had range anxiety.  That’s impressive, no matter how you slice it.

This has me wistful for a concept car that did make it to production: the ever-controversial Nissan Juke:

Honestly, I cannot get my head wrapped around what would possess a person to behave in that fashion. Lots and lots of amphetamines, maybe?

First time I’ve ever seen this. What a gorgeous design.

I haven’t seen too much of Ellen’s show, but by all accounts it sounds like she shows her true colors on the airwaves if you watch closely enough. Forcing a person to do shots says a lot about a person.

I’m trying to remain optimistic. I think the specter of a sound defeat at the hands of “Sleepy Joe” has rattled him so badly that he’ll either be flogging lawsuits or golfing.

ND on this one. I think the seller could pull this off in another 10ish years, but I don’t think the general public has reached the nostalgia inflection point for this time in automotive history.

This is going to kick off a whole new rash of “right to repair” litigation as enterprising hackers figure out creative ways to enable these features for free. IMHO, it’s stupid to tack on an upcharge/subscription for something that’s already installed on the vehicle. I suppose something like driver assist is a bit of

Ivanka looks like the mean, goody-two-shoes rich girl from your 3rd grade class.  I have to assume this look makes her father very happy.
