Diane is actually Strangers With Candy. Confirmed.

I *think* it is DoppleCoop she's texting, only for lack of specific clues that it is someone else. But I was very convinced after the prison scene that Diane's reaction was legitimate. So either she was misleading Gordon and Albert in that scene, or we are being misled now about who she's talking to. But even in the

I agree about the jerky. Labelled "Albatross" brand.

Are there a lot of French prostitutes hanging out at hotels in Buckhorn, South Dakota? Or could she actually be as she was described, friend of a turnip farmer whose mother has disappeared, or vice versa (I didn't memorize her alleged backstory), who is happy to spend time with a seemingly wealthy and charming

There may be some truth to that, but subtitles in general are notoriously incorrect. I see major errors on every show I watch any time I turn them on.

I've seen toilets with one button instad of a lever. But two? That is news to me. I'm a simple resident of Flyover Country, and we don't have such newfangled things. Maybe one to flush and another turns it into a bidet? I would just press both buttons and see what happens. Perhaps a certain series of button pushes

Not every smoker does this, only littering assholes. The two are not necessarily related. And as a smoker, while I am not proud of it (it's an addiction to nicotine after all, and a muscle memory habit filled with mental associations) I am certainly not self-loathing.

Every ceiling fan in America manufactured in the last 20 or 30 years at least has a switch to change the rotation. Position 1 blows air downward for a cooling effect. Position 2 circulates warm air that naturally rises so that you are not just heating the ceiling. No wonder so many people have trouble with the

Read Jaque Vallee's later writings, or even the wikipedia on it. Late in his career, after decades of investigation, correlates the most unexplainable aspects of UFO phenomena with theories of multiple dimensions, psychic experiences and the like. This is entirely in line with Bob and the Lodges and related Twin Peaks

I got the vibe, so I upvoted you. Just felt the need to elaborate on how unsatisfying it would be if they leave it at that.

All well and good and fitting with the themes of the show and Buddhist philosophy, but if it ends with someone waking up a la Roseanne or Wizard of Oz, I will be obliged to write my first-ever hatemail to a director.

3 thumbs up for this. To the Stephen King parallel: the actual end to the Dark Tower series wasn't so bad, but the point in the second to last book (I think) where he went full Deus Ex Machina and introduced himself into the story almost made me quit then and there. Other authors have done that successfully before,

There has been no confirmation in the actual show, not even any clues beyond him being a grandson to Ben and his wife/ex-wife. Only a widespread assumption that I personally expect to be upended at some point.

Ahh, yes they did. Very brief, but a mention nonetheless.

As others have stated, the subtitles were wrong. As they often are in many shows. Have all the viewers and reviewers who made this assumption never watched a show with subtitles before and noticed the high level of innaccuracy? This really bugs me for some reason. "What are you gonna believe, the subtitles or your

When did they mention Annie?

Makes sense. I wonder who is the likely candidate for being a traitor.

Cersei's (impending) murder of the Sand girl with poison as her mother must watch, as brutal as it is, seems like the first evil thing we've ever seen her do that was fully justified. I suppose one could argue destroying the Sept took out many of those who acted/plotted against her along with the innocents, but in

The idea was cemented in the first few episodes in many viewer's minds, for whatever reason. Even if the show was re-cast with an all-female ensemble for the remainder, the critique would continue, with complaints that Evil Cooper is a dig on the nefariousness of women and Dougie Jones on their vapidity and

Now that's humors!
