Good question. Since I'm not a medical professional (nor do I play one on the internet) I have no idea. But it does seem that compartment syndrome would be a complication with this type of wound closure. Maybe since it's only supposed to be a temporary method, compartment syndrome wouldn't occur?

I find this a little bit funny because when I'm carrying seed packets or clippers or whatever I need for my garden, I put those things in the pockets of my pants. I guess this could be useful for hipster gardeners, though. I don't usually see hipsters wearing cargo pants...
