I want you to know it came up and I said this:

I mostly come to Jalopnik for the comment section anyway. I just read what people have to say on the original article and then skip the AOTD slideshow

I was also a fan of the Bangle era. I even got to question the man, himself, once! I was impressed by him, in addition to his design.

In case anyone wants to actually see the cool tires mentioned in the headline without going on a fucking goose chase:

Gen Xer here. To be honest I was put off by the fact that the whole thing seemed so staged and phony (and those tweets proved it definitely was). When Trent Reznor or Kurt Cobain smashed a guitar or a synthesizer, you could tell it was motivated by genuine emotion.

Got one of these for Christmas one year - totally worthless.

Lego cars

Came here for this. We all know that Ford made “the last of the big V-8s.”

Needs to be something that Max Rockatansky can afford.

A manual can make the worst car better, but an automatic will make the best car worse.

I’d bet there’s one rotting in a junkyard somewhere.

Used is always going to be more for your money than new. It’s a fair comparison when shopping, but not really when judging the car in general. The Miata does get a bit overhyped. I think because it has no real competition in the US. Want a new affordable, reliable RWD sports car? Your options are Miata or.. well, most

Miata and Z4 kinda seems like an unfair comparison, though.  It’s not surprising that the Z4's “better” at twice the MSRP.

I’ll just wear my favorite Christmas sweater:

Well no wonder you didn’t want the car . That’s a stupid big key .

Now go forth champion and lay waste to our enemies with this terrible weapon we have forged. Biba forever, das auto!

You look thrilled.

Now that’s what I call shittin’ and gettin’ (a new car).

Well, that’s just it. A lot of the technicians at dealerships aren’t mechanics in the true sense of the word. They are factory-trained to handle specific issues (especially those outlined in TSBs) and procedures for their respective brands, but will be unable to back-trace an undocumented problem to its root cause.

Us D&D players always wondered what a 20th level bard character would look like...
