I really wish I had been more careful the last time I rented a car (in UAE). The first time I went everything was so smooth and easy, but the second time was a different story. They charged me about $100 for a scratched hubcap, which I knew I didn’t do as I noticed it when I first picked up the car but thought nothing

I really like the back view of my car, I went through about 5 variations of taillights before I had these made for me.

I spend summers at home in the states and have been living abroad nearly all my life. Back in the US I have a 2003 BMW Z4 that I bought in 2009. It’s taken me all over the US on epic road trips annually until Covid hit in 2019, since then it’s been in my garage and hasn’t been touched since. I had the good sense to

There are a lot of horror stories about dealerships, and I have a few too, but one summer my local BWM dealership (of Ann Arbor) really changed my mind. Not only did they fix a key fob for free, but they noticed that I had clicked a box for new hydraulic power steering fluid. It was for my summer car (which I don’t

Yeah, it’s like a lucky draw every time you try to attach something. Maybe I need to create a ritual before my attempts.

I’m sad I missed out on this question. I live abroad and work at a school for rich people, I regularly see cool stuff, so much that I’ve stopped taking photos of what the parents drive to school. Bentleys, Rolls, Ferraris, 911's, M3's. The best thing I have seen pick up a student was a Unimog. AMG G-Wagons are the

Congratulations on passing. Because I attended high school living overseas I also never got to experience the quintessential American learning how to drive in you teens experience.

This made me very happy. I just got a new MacBook Pro and have been using open office for the past few weeks. Glad to have word again, even though I’ll have to reteach myself how to use it.

I somehow made a reply and posted it to an unrelated article. Anyway, I too miss my Z4, it’s been in my garage at my house since 2019 and I have been able to go home due to travel restrictions.

My Z4 is in my garage at my house that I haven’t been back to since 2019. Fortunately I put on old wheels and tires before getting on a plane, thinking I’d be back in a few months. That just made me severely homesick.

I used to traveled often and I’ve driven Versas of that vintage on a few continents. I can’t stand them. For basic transportation they do the job but are just so incredibly soulless and uncomfortable, they take the joy out of being on vacation and doing road trips abroad

I practically learned how to read by looking through the car’s user manuals in the 80's. I fondly recall reading the manual to my family’s 82 Subaru GL and looking for that light that wasn’t an option on our car.

I can’t believe that the Subaru GL is now has status. My parents bought a blue 82 GL sedan and I have fond memories in that car with my dad. I loved the orange lights in the dash and shifting gears for him. It rusted in Michigan and we sold it for $500 in 1995 or 96. I never got a chance to drive it...

That looks amazing. I thought I ordered black ducts and will get around to painting them to achieve stealth on mine too, however my car has been in my garage since 2019, and I haven’t been home since then due to Covid. Also my grill was cracked so I didn’t feel bad about cutting a hole it in.

I had the same experience with my Z4. I found some backing plates for the 3 series that work fit on the Z4 with the exception of one bolt hole that needed to be drilled, I also put on new hubs and bearings while I was at it. It was a fun weekend project. The next track day I went to was a 20min session of bracket

As long as my cars are not rusted out I am willing do to almost anything to keep them. I have a lot of emotional attachment to my cars, I choose them very carefully and have put in a lot of blood, sweat and... money to make them just the way I want them to be.

That is the worst automotive trend. Driving at night you can really see which cars when fake as my car’s headlights shine right into the faux tailpipes, exposing the awful truth and earning a scoff from me and a slight head shake of shame.

Yeah! Another Z4 article! Happy to have some cars to discuss that are in my wheel house!

I don’t vote because I live over seas most of the year for work and the voting button doesn’t always show up. Additionally I don’t keep up to date on the prices of cars in the US so my metrics are not as finely calibrated as everyone else’s.

Wow, this is the Z4 of my dream car garage. I read every NPOND but never felt strongly enough to vote.
