I’m a (sail) boat owner from Michigan and I have never heard of this before. I also don’t party or drink so that could be the reason why.

My dad passed away over 10 years ago so Father’s Day hasn’t felt the same since then. My dad had some interesting cars before I was born, the one I wish he kept is the first car he bought, apparently with the money he has been saving that he earned from his paper route. It was a tuxedo black, manual transmission 1959…
I’m sorry to share my opinion. Amber turn signals on the back don’t look good and I like my reverse lights illuminating when I unlock my car. I also tend to back into parking spaces whenever possible so I hope I am not part of the problem. On a side note, my summer car’s reverse lights haven’t worked in a few years…
Because of the Corona Virus, I am not likely to come back to my house in Michigan until next summer. If you need a place to stash a car for some time I have some space in my garage that is not being used. I’ll accept a Jalopnik t-shirt or sticker for storage payment.
The DeLorean or Mad Max’s interceptor are the car sounds that would fight for #1 and #2 if that was reality.
As I have mentioned before, these are everywhere in the suburbs of Beijing and very popular with the expat teachers who can’t get or don’t want a car. Most of the staff only lives a 2-5km away from school so it makes sense for them to have something like this to keep them out of the elements not to mention that most…
A family friend was an engineer on this (and the Viper). He was born in the late 40's so the esthetic was there in the design and most of the people lived that time. The engineering was also good, but it was a balance of cost and function that really harmed it.
This is an interesting question made seriously made me stop and think.
I grew up just about 15 miles away from MIS. When I go back, I still see plenty of confederate flags around (some one has been selling them from their front yard on the side of highway 12 for years now). There was a confederate painted mailbox not far from us too. It’s people like that why I moved far away.
I have a Kyosho 1970 Dodge Charger that I absolutely love. The battery lasts forever, it handles amazingly well and it looks great. My problem is that I am afraid to damage the body, I already have a few nicks and scratches on it so it has been looking pretty on a shelf for the past year. Also it is pretty fast so…
Detroit does make some very tasty cherry pop. I think GM should name their cars after Towne Club flavors. http://www.towneclub.com/products/ The colors would look great on muscle cars.
Mine is a legit for China legal import Camaro. The original owner bought at at the Chevy dealer like any other car. Some of the unique parts such as the original rear amber turn signals were stamped “For China” or something like that. While the European market has some unique features like the mirrors, the only other d…
Oh, I just thought of another. So for a gig we drove my drummer’s XJ Cherokee to the bar and parked it not far away in a small dead end alley. He had a few drinks so being the leader of the band (and straightedge) I was the designated driver to get us home. Unfortunately, after the show, there was a cab parked in the…
I forgot to add another time I went to a friends apartment for a get together. I always dread going to that apartment complex. There is only about 20 parking spots for a the entire place which probably contains more families than my hometown does.
I have quite a few after living in a huge metropolis in Asia for most of my life. One of the more interesting parking stories is when I tried to fit my Camaro down a hutong in the center of Beijing. It was there where I discovered that Camaro mirrors don’t fold in. I had only had the car for a few days at that point…
There are lots of V2 powered motorcycles. I think Morgan uses a v2 in their 3 wheeled car. Not so sure about 4 wheel V2 cars though.
I have been in self quarantine since the end of January with my girlfriend and our cats. This is a very welcome distraction. Here goes:
I am surprisingly turned on by the fact that this car exists. I have a Z4 and my other car is a Camaro. I could never imagine putting the two together, but I think in some way it makes the Z3 (which i never liked the look of) and the Hornet, which probably never drove, cornered or stopped well better in so many ways.…
