SHUT DOWN ALL THE GARBAGE MASHERS ON THE DETENTION LEVEL!!!
If she just stopped streaming without announcing it beforehand then it would be pretty terrible to everyone that subscribes or renews just before the end. This way is better.
But what does Amouranth think about all this?!
I’m sure luck was a part of it, but that probably isn’t all there is to it. Judging from your posts, you’ll never see it that way. You could have just said “I don’t like her” or “I don’t think streaming is a real job” or whatever. You’re entitled to like or dislike whatever you want.
To her credit, uninteresting and banal is leagues ahead of “try too hard, be skin-crawling levels of obnoxious, and show very obviously that you have faced zero consequences in your life,” which most Twitch streamers exhibit.
To be fair, MatPat has made a career out of plastering his smug, extra-punchable face in every video. So ignoring him seems like the best kind of way to honor his retirement.
Tl/DR: Don’t ascribe long standing logistics practices to malicious intent without having very clear evidence that is the case. Correlation (multiple scarcity events in the past after launch) doesn’t imply causation (deliberate manipulation of production for PR purposes).
Where are you buying cars that the dealers DON’T have one? In both states I live in, you have to pay it by law as long as the dealer puts it on EVERY car. I’ve very rarely bought a USED car from a used car dealer that didn’t add one, but never a new car anywhere.
LOL - I actually figured out that my car was likely on the show stand at the Chicago Auto Show. So maybe kinda hard?
I think these rumors start because Nintendo at one point was the only company not selling their systems at a projected loss based on component cost. Many estimate that microsoft looses $200 per series X. But even if Nintendo was making a profit on systems it wouldn’t be that much per system making artificial scarcity…
that’s also because credit card points addicts and resellers have teamed up, essentially creating a human botnet. there’s a whole community around it.
Every time I see someone with that flashing 3rd brake light, I know they’re an absolute sucker
They also tried to charge a $2000 “reconditioning” charge on a car with *28* miles on it.
Hasn’t the fact that Nintendo was one of the first game companies to pioneer false scarcity to make their products more appealing been known for like decades.
Local Kia dealership has what they call a “safety” package for $499 that you can NOT opt out of. They say they’re are obligated by contract that every one of the cars they lease or sell has to have this package...which is essentially a flashing brake light. Salesman refused to budge on it and I refused to pay for…
I suspect they will go simple and call it the Switch 2.
I sell thousands and thousands of cars.
On every car, new or used, we charge sales tax, a $35 title fee, and a $250 doc fee. No lojack, no trucoat, no prep fee, no urine sample.
I hope Nintendo does something to limit botting. Maybe a sign up for people who have had an online account for a while. I managed to walk into an Amazon Book Store and buy a Switch off the shelf day one (I’m sure because so few people thought of that as a possibility, I only knew about it because I saw it mentioned in…
This is a little bit bigger than the 6-inch display you’ll find on a standard Switch console...
