Wish I could enjoy this game like that. But I found the combat to be absolutely terrible, English voice acting way too cheesy, and when I found out that the story is a jumbled mess of DLC content required to understand what the hell is going on I gave up and never looked back.

except its not.  I mean the one guy just leaves for a spell and its dlc to see why.  Guy is a sworn shield, and he just leaves the guy he is guarding.  Also, if you are going to have tv and cell phones.....how the fuck are they out of money.  Telling me the royal family didnt have their worlds equivalent of swiss bank

Im partially here with you.  15 blows.  Gameplay never improves, and the story is absolutely moronic.  FF13 has an ok story, I like the combat system.  But at least it felt coherent as a game, if too linear and lacking in real side quests, npcs, and such.  I loath 15.

More like Worst Final Fantasy in its entire series run. FF13 at least had a good story if even if its gameplay kinda sucked. FF15 was shallow in both gameplay and story.

I’d agree if they were an asshat purposefully doing it for shits and giggles, but the video seems to show someone being stupid and trying to pass the truck blind, only sliding because they just realized the snowplow was there so they panic steered to try to get back to the right lane.

Nationalization will lead to stagnation.

I’m not surprised this is yet another fear-mongering AI-Bad article, but I’m getting disappointed in Kotaku for these continual Boomer-level takes.

The technology keeps advancing and it’s not going away, I’d love some positive articles on what devs hope AI will allow them to accomplish rather than these tired doom

This article is presenting a false dichotomy. We are asked to think of our favorite characters and then the article proceeds to talk about NPCs in general and act like they are all like our favorite characters. But that is a bald faced lie.

There is less damage done to the wetlands, sand dunes and beach during SpaceX closures as it stops all the recreational 4WDs and motorbikes from tearing up all of those areas.

CA passed a law that all new cars sold have to be EV only by 2035. Ironically that very same week the CA dept. of energy asked everyone not to charge their cars as the grid was overloaded and there would be blackouts if everyone charged their cars as normal.

Tell me you don’t have anything to say without telling me you don’t have anything to say.

it’s more of an “everything we do is designed to waste time so why act like it isn't and just enjoy the ride?"

This, you are 100% right and in 5 years everyone will have moved on from the hand wringing. I look forward to that day so that all the comments aren’t just variations of personal attacks by people who hate new technology.

Does big tech think video game characters only exist to waste our time?”

Yes, an early tech demo of an emerging technology that’s using an already dated voice synthesis program does sounds pretty robotic. It’s crappy right now, but in the future the possibility of having NPCs that can actually react and grow organically based on the player’s actions is absolutely incredible.

Well, driving your car directly into a big, sharp steel blade will do that.

Indeed, this warrants the more classical term: fishtail.

Tell that to the “old people” in Chicago freezing in line to charge their EVs. Or others stuck in blizzards. Or in Texas with the frozen windmills.

“Vanity Project?” That comment is telling, I guess you lost any objectivity you’re being given credit for having.

Er... that’s not drifting. That’s losing the back-end when you realize you made a very bad decision and try to save yourself by flooring it.
