It does make for some interesting driving at times.  I’ve been driving here for 21 years and the vagaries of different neighborhoods are never lost on me.

The ones here in Chicagoland are where peds or bikes or at.  I’m a Civil Engineer myself, never designed this type of interchange, but the concept is very simple: reduce the amount of conflicts at an interchange.

Chuck Hughes had a legit true Heart attack due to clogged arteries/blood clot (maybe related to a hit earlier). He died on the field in 1971.  A heart attack is when the heart muscle starts to die after at least one of the arteries leading to the heart is mostly clogged causing blood and oxygen not getting around.

well, not heart attack, but it happens far more frequently in kids baseball and soccer and also adolescent lacrosse.

No, he didn’t have a heart attack. What he likely had happen is that freak impact that happened at the precise wrong moment in the heart beat. Commotio Cordis. Happens to about 30 people a year in the US. Mostly with kids/teens playing soccer.

I think they only have a couple of routes there.  All the other airlines have significantly higher traffic as they’ve got all the slots booked up.  I only fly out of Midway with Southwest; I think SWA takes up almost half the slots there.
