All of them "Great Job, Internet!", right?
The undead flesh-eating ghouls of today are instead tied to anxieties about scarcity, overpopulation and late-stage capitalism!
Sometimes those expensive cosmetics are such a trap! I tried a free little jar of L'Occitane's Divine Cream and my skin loves it so much. Full size is $116 a jar, so I haven't been able to bring myself to buy it. But other moisturizers so pale in comparison for me now. Sigh.
This has been especially bad lately, right? Like in the past two weeks? Or have I just been absent too long?
It's clunky, but in Blink 182 lyrical terms, it's pure poetry.
I guess there are more important things to consider with this episode, but I rolled my eyes so hard at the "you're not a journalist, you're a writer" line.
I spent pretty much all day yesterday reading, so I covered a bunch of Shakespeare: The Winter's Tale, Taming of the Shrew, Troilus and Cressida, and Venus and Adonis. I also read The Merciless by Danielle Vega.
I really want Sabrina to just be an angsty Wiccan.
My husband was complaining about Jughead's overwrought prose and I was like "no, no, it's perfect, that's what merely okay teenage writing is like". Even the best work tends to show potential but needs refinement.
Aunts and ex-coworkers from Facebook are on billboards now?
I remember getting Tango In the Night on cassette at a yard sale when I was 13ish and it was my first time really listening to them. I was like "Ugh this is Fleetwood Mac? Why do people like them so much?"
I haven't paid attention to Weezer in so long that I assumed there was, like, one or two after the Green album. Good for them, I guess?
A self-perpetuating problem, too. Websites don't care if your hits are induced by rage or interest.
I wish more of these donation sites allowed Paypal.
I enjoy spaces where politics are discussed with corresponding Simpsons quotes and other pop culture references (just like real life!), but to each their own, I s'pose!
I love when bands do this. I'd be so crushed if The Clash hated me.
There's always the option of not clicking political articles.
I found an old CD/Cassette player on Craiglist, bought it, was overjoyed to be able to make mixtapes, then realized there was literally no one I could give them to because no one else had the (obsolete) technology.
I've been having that gnarly kind of depression that makes it hard to read, but I've been making my way through Kelly Link's Pretty Monsters and enjoying it!
