If Vision was played by anyone other than Paul Bettany, I wouldn’t have much interest in this. However, I like him in the role and I’m hopeful that he doesn’t die in this movie.

Just because Instagram lets you bundle multiple photos in one post, doesn’t mean people bother scrolling through more than the first couple of photos[...]

It’ll be new. Nintendo doesn’t want people to remember the WiiU, so they’ll put as much distance between 4 and 5 as possible. 4 years between iterations isn’t unprecedented, so almost five years is definitely doable.

If that was guaranteed to be the case every time, self driving cars wouldn’t be in the testing phase. Nobody is giving the car a free pass.

I can understand that reasoning, but judging by his quote alone, it sounded more like he thought his creative vision was above that of the writing team. It comes across pretty arrogant to me.

Why do b-team directors have so much confidence that they “flat out refuse” to make a movie without diverging from the source material?

I find it funny how the Honda fanboys are taking your own personal opinion...well, personally. I bet I could point them out at a car meet.

We accrued some seriously bad karma somewhere....

I find the thought that three adult men can sit in their house with cameras on 24 hours a day, having nothing to do with porn can make a living and be popular with a bunch of millenials afraid to let go of their childhood surreal.

As someone who played this game endlessly a decade ago, Carson GT Nighthawk. That is all.

Right. We’ve spent 30 years and billions of dollars to dig around in the dirt on Mars (not do diminish the accomplishment, just making a point). It’s insane to believe that a hypothetical superior race (careful, Zach) of beings that have the ability to travel across the cosmos to our little blue planet wouldn’t spend

Yates? Cuaron did it in HP3.

I wouldn’t call it mainstream. It’s still very much niche to be interested in anything more obscure than One Punch Man.

The early reactions to Ready Player One after its screening at SXSW were mostly positive, but don’t count io9's among them.

Does the beating around the bush by Toyota regarding revealing the consumer version of the Supra have anyone else worried?

I (a layman with no scientific credentials) don’t think one car floating around in space is ever going to really make any difference. I get where people are coming from, saying it’s irresponsible, but why is it irresponsible? Because in a couple million years it may hit a planet and spread a small amount of bacteria

The Gate (1987). Truly horrific character design in a movie that was marketed as a young teen film. I caught it on TV around ‘96 at the ripe old age of 6 and had nightmares for weeks. I actually still remember them very vividly. I’ve not had any interest in seeing that movie again.

A heart so true-ly torn open.

A 1994-98 Mustang GT manual. Insurance is cheap as hell, it has enough torque to make it a bit harder to stall than a 4 cylinder, parts are all over the place and they’re cheap to work on.

“I read it before the tankobon.”
