going on a year w/o exercise. it ain’t that hard to get used to. :/

americans would take vaca if they weren’t afraid of being made irrelevant and fired. I would. I technically have 6 weeks a year, w/ 10 days max carry over. how many do I take? 1 week usually. I guess add another week total for 1-day’s off here and there around holiday weekends etc.

chopsticks, imho, are much better for certain foods...like salad...where a little dexterity is helpful.

Craig Kilbourne (sp?) said men’s stress comes from two things - 1) feeling not good enough, and 2) feeling like you will lose control. He also said you never feel like an adult until you have a child or lose a parent. I’ve always thought these were interesting points.

I think one of the three options still remains so you may have answered the question for yourself ;)

I don’t think it should be ‘offensive’ as such but it is not a really classy joke. Also it is a little deprecating/rude to the spouse that is away (most likely for work, to help the team).

so check it out - I live/work in manhattan - biggest city in the world - and I asked around a number of bars and no one knew about this drink or how to make it, even though it was rated the drink of the summer this year (maybe last), and Aziz Ansari was crowing about it all the time. makes me think something is

wow that is some extreme talent

dude - indians don’t even make their own naan. most indian restaurants don’t even make it due to the lack of a tandoor. I see the griller as a decent cluge yet....I have an easier option (indian approved): trader joe’s has garlic naan that toast in the toaster and are pretty good. yes not as good as fresh cooked

what kind of doctor are you? not a surgeon I hope....

looks like a c list hollywood remake of an indian movie

i would rather eat my dog’s poop than step barefoot in hobo poop. (I have a chihuahua though so....)

you would want to keep it cheap - your car gets all dinged up in ny

i didn’t say I do, I say people do. and I am certainly within the group “people” so I probably do too, even though I think I’m one of the good ones...although who doesn’t think that about themselves.

smart but not pretty.

i know someone whose entire family (father, mother, sisters) all died before 55 yet he lived to 93...god bless....he didn’t do anything crazy just took ok care of himself and saw his doctors regularly (as anyone should). You don’t know what did in your Dad - could be genetics, could be diet..could be anything. I wish

I won’t argue with that. but I will note that, even if you yourself are comfortable, doesn’t it make you uncomfortable if you are surrounded by sloppy/shabby people? I would put up w/ more restrictive attire simply so I wouldn’t have to see the unsightly sights I’ve often witness (I fly a lot). anyway, that’s just

we’re not talking wearing business casual. we’re talking about wearing gym clothes and, more importantly, very sloppy attire. you wearing gyms and a t shirt wouldn’t get a 2nd look from me. really anything would be ok so long as clean.

there needs to be a related podcast on how people can act with class and politeness in day to day life even if they weren’t born w/ a silver spoon.

yeah but you are in public - shouldn’t there be a minimum decorum level? if I dressed in gym clothes I would be embarrassed in this setting...and in turn I find all the slobs dressed like this to be embarrassing and gross. just my opinion but I can’t help it.
