I imagine this is a bigger car, but I get Pontiac Solstice vibes from the overall jellybean shape and especially the rear quarters.

I don’t know much about bikes (i.e. whether this is a good deal) but I do love cafe style bikes. Seems like a lot of manufacturers did cafe throwback retro style bikes, but most still look really bulky. This is a really nice execution of a cafe bike with modern features -- I really dig it.

Good lord that’s bad. I don’t know what the cost of a decent fox body interior goes for these days (are they still super easy to find? Used to be guys ripping fox bodies apart left and right to use the chassis). Knock a few grand off to start, then whatever the cost would be to reverse the interior. I think at 6k,

For nearly 30k I’d want a concours level car. This is not close to that. The seat wear, the double DIN unit (rad 80s stereos are part of the charm!) and there is plastic damage all over the passenger side (UV degradation?).

If the seller was smart, he’d advertise that they are Lotus Esprit taillights, give that bad boy some provenance! (Lotus bought them from Toyota)

I’ve seen these for about half that, in better condition.

It ungainly and ridiculous, but clean GMT800s are getting harder and harder to find. They also go forever -- I’d go wth NP.

ND, not even the fuzzy ones. I can’t think of a car that I would want to drop 8k on less than this.

Shouldn’t you disconnect the driveshaft for towing (which would not incur mileage as its not spinning the transmission where the odo/speedo is geared from)? I only know in automatics you do, so you don’t spin the transmission without the front pump on. I guess in manual cars you can just throw it in neutral (or the Tx

So, we can save 67 lives a year but are in a net increase of 304.7 deaths per year (if a linear distribution). I mean 67 lives are great, but at that rate its still net increasing by 237 year after year. Thats uh...not good. I’m sure there are a bunch of things at play here, but anticipating the pushback on a rule

4 grans is F-it money these days. Your comparison point would be the Buick from last week -- also a screaming NP. The Buick will cost less and be a more reliable, cheaper to maintain but this car will be a hell of a lot more fun, and its got some life left.

Regular US spec 2002s are going 10-15k or so higher than this in good condition, so this might not be so far off. I could see a classic BMW fanatic snatching this up. I don’t know who these people actually are though.

Very easy NP. Reliable, luxurious and smooth. I’d rock the shit out of this for a lot of highway driving. It’s got another 100k or more easily in it, if the interior can hold up.

I really like the idea, and always liked the 131 rally car....if the work was really clean I’d probably eke out a NP. As Rob noted, the panel fitment, some of the paint work, lack of real abarth wheels, etc. is just a bit sloppy. The spare panels included, complete with a gutter guard grill appears alarmingly shitty.

Its a pretty car but not 25k pretty. I’m sure the twin turbo was novel when it came out in the early 80s, but by 1989 the rest of the world caught up (300zx for example).

The sad look is so much better

The M550 is a better daily and much cheaper -- lots of power, great interior but no need for crazy expensive carbon brakes and whatnot.

I’ve had a few of these over the years and they are getting harder and harder to find. Mechanically, absolute tanks. The main killer is rust, and sometimes transmission issues...but 95% its rust. This looks rust free, and 185k is nothing on the mechanical bits. Easy NP, these are delightful to drive, work on, and go

yea my 15 year old e550 gets these numbers

The newest F type is fantastic. It has always been a looker, but the new front end really ties in, too bad they are discontinuing it. I don’t know that I’ve seen more than 2-3 total with the facelift.
