These can be made decent. From the factory they were competitive in their time (tbh the answer to the QOTD is practically every muscle car between 1974 and 1989 or so). I used to see these pop up in the American Iron NASA series whcih was always pretty neat. Not sure it’s still the case though, I’m sure newer cars

Similarly, what is NADA smoking? I know they are always largely inflated, but this seems insane too. Fun point though, they provided the option to choose from a bunch of V8 options with only one “4 cylinder” out of the bunch. Curiously, one of them was a 5.9 liter turbodiesel 6....

Mash ‘em, bake ‘em, put ‘em in the road

Yeah this really messed with my head, what a cool design.

The problem is that it sits in between the Testarossa, perhaps the pinnacle of 80s rad design (the other contender being arguably a countach), and the 355 which refined the beautiful shape with more appropriate styling. I find these to be a great looking Ferrari and never got the negative hype, but it does sort of

Man and I tot our traffic was bad here in Philly...

You can get Kjet parts from other cars (potentially) since a lot of those Bosch parts are used across the euro spectrum. The actual fuel distributor, not sure. It’s been a while since I looked into these and worked on them, but even 10 years ago a new or reman fuel distributor would be in the 4 figures IIRC. That

No, the Swedish supercar manufacturer isn’t tuning Teslas, but it’s now making carbon dress-up parts — and they aren’t as expensive as you’d think.

Nah I’ll concede that there are lots of uses for larger trucks. Lots of lanscapers for example around here have their crew in the cab and tow a good size trailer (either gooseneck or full size) with equipment, etc. Lots of use for full size HD trucks. There are a lot of posers for sure, but I realize there are tons

Rolling coal. Bonus points for big rims with low profile tires on a lifted pickup, virtually rendering it useless.

This isn’t going to do a thing -- all the 18-21 year olds are probably out robbing trains while Jalopnik writers make excuses for them.

Ok I get the hub assembly...but what on earth would you do with an air hammer vs. an oil filter? Rip the thing apart??

Do yourself a favor and get some proper sockets/wrenches on it instead of that adjustable wrench. You’ll slip and strip the points in no time with only 2 flat sides of contact.

These tend to use quite a bit of air, even the smaller hammers and chisels. Also, eh. A good chunk of times I’ve had to use them, they just end up resulting in a sore wrist/hand and resorting to heat and a BFH anyways. The best use I’ve had for mine is getting through ceramic tile in my bathroom with a chisel head.

Yeah I was waiting for the sarcastic punchline on this, and it never came.

This weird apologist take is just bad. These people are thieves, stealing things from OTHER people who legitimately bought something despite the poor economy. This isn’t a stick-it-to-bezos thing. This is impacting folks like you and me who work to pay their bills, then get their hard-earned shit stolen by someone who

A true Philly legend.

Nascar should either fully embrace the shittiness, or consistently and soundly reject it. Their inconsistency isn’t winning over either side.

This brand should have been ol’ yellered years ago. They haven’t offered anything new or competitive since...what, 2005? And even then it was just kind of interesting and quirky, which is great, but wears off quick.
