I haven’t been following the case closely, but do we know what the plea deal was? It’s entirely possible that the plea was a 50 year sentence.

That is not an uncommon scenario, especially in desirable areas. My wife and I have been keeping an eye (I guess not as much recently with the market) at beach houses. It is common to see the house listed for sale, with a lease on the land it is sitting on...not talking mobile homes either (although that’s common),…
Cool, as long as I keep the land.
That was a little bit different, as homes are usually appreciating assets, whereas cars are usually depreciating. Still, there is a similar reliance on credit in America for both.
That rear end is giving me Saab vibes. Not a bad thing, although the saab wore it better.
Looks really clean for 2900, in this market that’s an easy NP. I thought all of the convertibles were the “GT” trim with the turbo engine. I’d totally hoon a 5spd turbo PT (not a convertible though) but they are few and far between.
Those wheels are horrendous. It seems everyone is going for the mesh/heavily drilled metal look on interiors (see the Lexus LS that was recently tested, etc). But too much is simply too much. Way too busy and spoils the side profile.
Not something I would want to be doing every 15-30k
Who is this for? A band that plays only to deer in the woods? Seems out of budget for them. Cushy group van to take a team of folks out to oil rigs from a hotel maybe?
It is front engine, and clutch parts alone are somewhere north of $3k (there’s the “F1" sensor and a couple others IIRC). Labor will put that up over 7k total these days I’d imagine.
For this price, you can get any number of Merc S550s for sale of the same vintage and less than 100k miles. The 550 has 18 less HP, but you can also get AWD (and...parts, better reliability, etc etc). If you absolutely need to be different and get a QP, get one with the ZF box.
Now give it 3 windshield wipers
I was thinking more the crystal door knobs (which I always found hanging precariously off of old doors/latches in old houses that were falling apart)...but apparently those are pretty highly sought after now?
Same here, you know the band was big if they have a bus towing the trailer.
Imagine how much money he could save by switching to train travel...at least to manhattan and back daily. But that’s a socialist thing.
ND at any price. Why not just buy a van and get more room? It looks horribly cramped back there.
Those crash tests don’t really look all that terrible? I mean we can’t see leg intrusion, but the passenger cell seems to be pretty well intact. The side impacts are a bit alarming, but that’s also due to lack of side airbags. Structurally, it doesn’t look all that bad. If that is 0 stars, I am impressed.
I am currently selling my van via Facebook and it’s been pretty good so far. Only one lowball cash offer, and a slew of “is this available”s. Most of the folks who contacted me are genuinely curious and interested it seems. Granted, I’ve only posted it to niche enthusiast groups, which helps. But it is a hell of a lot…
I’d take one of those too — however I think the styling with the Prowler is spot on. It isn’t just a wannabe 34 ford or something, its a pretty sleek take on old school roadsters in general. Overall I’d take the prowler over like a factory five 34 ford or something.
