It gets a lot of hate, but I think it treads the line of ugly/cute pretty well. At least it was different for it’s time. Now everyone seems to have copied the sinngle headlight, top mounted indicator look (kia, jeep, etc).

For a first driver, I’d argue it is in fact too slow. A 20 second 0-60 time in a tin can does not leave a lot of room for error if you pull out in front of someone. On the roads these days, this is not something I would give a young driver who is not used to calculating those types of moves.

My eyes were drawn to virtually every other car in the photos. That Ligier is fantastic.

I agree, but there are a lot of people out there who want to make a quick buck, regardless of how much damage they do. It isn’t unusual to hear about people trying to steal copper wire not knowing it’s live, and getting electrocuted. Similarly, not unusual to hear about hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage for

Man when I used to travel for work (which hopefully I can do again soon?) it was always SOOOO nice after a long bumpy or late/early flight to sink right into the back of a nice clean black car outside of the terminal. Some of them were dirty or smelled smoky but most were pristine and clean inside and it was

Uh....have you seen the car market lately?

My in laws have a manufactured home built in the late 80s. You’d be hard pressed to tell it wasn’t stick built. Their community is nice too, actually have a yard and driveway etc.

Can confirm.

LOL oh please, you really think a 100% stock truck/tune produces enough soot to intimidate anyone? I guess he could have mysteriously developed a boost issue, or maybe happens to have bad injectors, and probably just happened to get a little too close to those cyclists a few times under heavy acceleration. Or maybe

I’ve gotten it in my convertible before, and almost watched the dumbass plow into the car in front of him. On the plus side, he did see me in my convertible, and he in his lifted truck which is more than I can say for most.

Do a search for a 2009-2016 f250 XLT Super Duty Diesel. Low end is 20k beat to shit with tons of miles. Average is 30-40k.

Yeah I didn’t say millionaire, but that’s certainly possible. Even letting your newly licensed kid drive around in a 40k truck raises assumptions. Only thing I can think otherwise would be if he took it without permissions, which is also quite possible.

“Not a very expensive truck”...I guess....

Same. I exclusively ride trails. I’m lucky to have a good trail system nearby where I can hit 50 pretty easy. Too many deaths around here.

A 16 year old driving a modified 5 year old super duty. My guess is mommy and daddy will “take care” of it from the legal side with a few phone calls. Poor kid just sneezed with affluenza is all.

As a reference....it’s for sale btw at 11k

the vanlife stuff seems to fall into 2 general buckets:

I have an early 90s van (diesel Delica) with a stick. It definitely does not feel fast, but it does make it more engaging around town. The utility is hard to beat too, I’ve hauled so many 4x8 plywood and drywall sheets in the back to have probably paid for it over rentals.

A shockingly bad take, yikes.

There are so many other ways to get to it though. What’s wrong with Montgomery Ave?
