That sounds about right to me. Coupes don’t come up often and when they do its almost always a GXP.

There’s also a company called Smoothline that made Sky hardtops but I don’t think they have produced any for years. Norm V is the way to go (also with the fenders)

They mostly just have an uncommon bolt pattern (5x110). The only other cars that share it are Saabs and Cobalts. There are aftermarket wheels but harder to come by. Many folks have wheels custom drilled.

Lol no idea where you are looking, but in the FB kappa classifieds they are going all day under 10k. Actually, on second thought I’d love to sell you my sky redline for the low low price of 30k.

Right? I’d gladly sell this guy my sky redline for 30k :) it must be a bargain if base sols are going for 20-25k. I paid 13k about 7 years ago.

No a clean GXP is like 15k or so still. Maybe pushing 20 max for one that’s got like 20k on it.

People tow little storage trailers with these. I never quite understood it (why can’t you just get soft bags?), but I’ve seen it quite a bit on the kappa forums. The storage space in these is very oddly shaped due to the fuel tank in the trunk.

I am pretty sure I’ve seen base coupes. They still command silly money.

I’d get a really nice Delica for that money. And have capable 4x4.

Holy shit, that was a couple inches from being a multiple fatal accident.

I thought 2022 was going to get 18" or 19" wheels? Those still look tiny in the images.

There are already salt mines around (Searles lake, Trona come to mind, drove through a couple years ago), I wouldn’t want to touch anything that was near the decay and pollution of the salton sea.

Edit: holy fuck what is wrong with Kinja today (I mean this, moreso what is incrementally wrong over the steaming pile of shit they’ve had for ages now)

just needs a bigger skimmer

Yeah I think they’re gonna need a bigger skimmer for that

Literally every manual RHD car.

preventative maintenance and the odd broken window regulator.

yep same engine, BMW M21

Not really seeing what the hype is here. It’s a fairly mundane and generic dashboard to me, pretty much what you’d expect a 2022 MY dash to look like in the segment.

Yep, likely a double hull design.
