My Delica has this too, I think it’s a general Japanese design. I am also a huge fan of the 3-knob rotary controls (which I actually prefer), more of a euro design.

I mean I love 500Es, and have (fondly) had several mercs from the era, but at 150k milesthis is unlikely to be a concours or collector piece, and $40k is a shit ton for a driver. Unfortunately this one seems to fall right between the two. I’d save 30-35k and get a nice SL500 or 600...the suspension and interior are

I loved my 1 series but wouldn’t get near that one. Yikes.

W3W is pretty awesome. It’s a convenient alternative to zips, postal codes, street names and numbers, which while semi-structured, can be a real pain in the ass to use from a data perspective — especially when you consider things like name changes and different zip formats (not to mention, a zip is an irregular

I have an irrational desire for a BT coupe.

I have a sky too and yeah its damn massive. I will say it’s perfectly fit for an armrest though, so they did sculpt it right (for me). A real cupholder would be nice, not the kneeslicer for the passenger or th funny bone activator between the seats.

I disagree (and as such, this is a great example of tastes) — I think the C5 is extremely reflective of the time it was produced, but has aged rather well. The facelifted C4s are up there too. In retrospect, probably more a sign of when I drooled over them as a kid.

Bring back 80s spec MB-Tex. That shit is comfortable and is damn near impossible to damage.

I thought that blue one in the picture was matte until I looked closer. Could they have chosen a less flattering lighting setup for the photo op? It looks terrible.

What you really want is an XR4Ti

The N55 said “twin-power turbo” despite having a single turbo (my 135 was the same way, I remember distinctly thinking it was dumb). AFAIK the 5 GT only came with the N55 too.

I’ve forgotten my EZpass before (coming back from radwood no less), I did have to unbuckle and lean over to hand over cash. Wasn’t too big of a deal. Most states and tolls have some sort of automated/cashless option anyways.

It takes about 10 mins to get used to on the road. If you have EZpass or similar for tolls, no issue there. I guess for fast food windows it might suck (realized in the years I’ve had it I’ve never pulled up to a fast food window...which I guess is probably a good thing?), otherwise I can’t think of any real

They are, but mine is still below 15k :)

Funky? Different? 4x4? Less than 15k? I got you Sean.

Wait so you are saying you don't want to play witcher on the dash of a moving car, shared with HVAC and other controls? Bring in the stans!

Myth? How long does it take you to grab a coffee? Last thing I want to do on a long drive is wait around for 45 minutes in a rest area or something.

I wonder if each "pump" is a station in this sense? Like each charging port at a supermarket is its own station. In that light, a gas station is really at least 4x (available pumps) and makes a more apt comparison.

My favorite was the vanity cheat code “kinja’d” which turns everything into horrific slideshow format. It was like when you could skate as an alien in tony hawk, except exponentially shittier.

5500 is getting close to RHD JDM import van territory. At least with that, you’d be getting engineering from the factory, and would no doubt be driving something much more interesting. A few thousand more will put you in the bottom market of Delica or a Hiace, etc.
