I read one of your comments above about this provision being written for minors. That makes more sense, but yes, poorly written. The conspiracy theorist might assume it was a deliberate loophole.

Serious question. I would like to speak up when I see this sort of thing happening. And I absolutely will/do when I see it happening to a minor (I know the age thing is a little arbitrary). But if I speak up when this happens to an adult woman am I taking power away from her?

Backing out a little, the enduring tragedy here is men making laws for victims they will most likely never be (hope that makes sense, I’m really upset right now).
