He calls her on her BS. I don't sense any romantic chemistry though. At one time, I had hoped the characters would have been written that way instead of as inlaws who developed a bond based on grief over losing their spouses.

This last courtship snd quickie wedding to Henry felt especially rushed. I would here left Mary single, let Edith get married (which I tend to think will happen in the last episode), and have Tom remarry too.
For real. I love Matthew Goode, but Mary should have ended up witb the Charles Blake who she had real chemistry with. Or Fellowes could have left Mary single with a career as an estate manager.
Honestly, I thought Mary and Charles Blake had real chemistry. I don't see it between Mary and Henry. I love Matthew Goode btw. Just don't feel there's chemistry between him and Michelle Dockery.
I found Robert ' s line about Edith very telling: "She couldn't even make her dolls do what she wanted." So he sees Edith as a loser.
How awesome was the scene with Mary and Master George visiting Barrows? Master George is such a cutie. He was so sweet with Barrows. At least Mary did one good thing that wasn't self centered in this episode.
LOL.
I loved this episode. Mary being called out for being the shrew she is and called a bitch by Edith were the highlights. The triumph of Molesely in reaching those kids as a teacher and Barrows being saved by Baxter were also touching.
