Hard to imagine that even MRA would shriek about this. Thirsting for their sweet, tasty tears might be a little preemptive, perhaps. If a guy is attacking a woman he is overdue for a firm ball-punching. Don't think it "attacks his virility" though. Guys don't think about how a shot to the nuts affects their identity.

Oh god! We're going to go from 6 years of congressional gridlock to...another 6 years of congressional gridlock!

At least we have more time for commercials now.

So he calls her out after she passed away but still tries to play the tactful "well I won't judge her" card? What a damn coward.

This is why I can only read these stories on Jezebel. The headline on Gawker read:

I just feel bad for his children, who have survived off the breadsticks he's been sneaking into his pockets since september.

When you have to show yourself beating a woman to prove that you don't beat women. on video. to your bosses. to save your job. I think it might be too late.

I really wish more parents did this. I'm actually the one always feeling awkward when one of my friends or relatives tells their kid to give me a hug goodbye. I don't need that kind of pressure! If the kid says no then I feel awkward and weird. If the kid says yes it isn't even any better because the parent is

More anecdote than solution, but when it comes to music I have spotify for songs that I like, and I buy vinyl (and tend to go to concerts) for artists that I like. If your album has one or two decent tracks on it, bundling it with all the crap songs is like paying for cable to get HBO, and I don't feel bad.

I hope they're planning on banning all prescription medication as well. Children might think that's candy!

You're absolutely right. at this point it doesn't even matter.

I could definitely see Jena Malone in the role but that said...WHY PUT ROBIN INTO THIS MOVIE!?

Credit where it is due: I think Dick's did a pretty decent job here.

Can we please stop putting "Bro" in front of everything?

This feels like a horrifying lead to a "yo mama" joke.

At least she's dead now! Right?....right?

That's different. We still see the "n" word show up in literature, movies, and shows. In the end, language really doesn't matter, intent does. Having a discussion about historical context is completely different than a NFL team displaying a racial slur because of their desire to stay ignorant.

Would it be a precedent in any way? Wouldn't it just be treated exactly the same as any other slur that is objectively racist in nature?

Censoring things doesn't make them go away, but a tacit endorsement by our society that "Redskins" is an okay word is only reinforced by having it be the mascot of an NFL team that is displayed and remarked upon constantly, isn't helping anyone.

This is absolutely fantastic.
