Huh? I love this type of argument. IT'S WRONG TO ASK WHY DO MEN DO THIS? Oh, you are so unbelievably scared to criticize men it's laughable.

No, it is not "arrogant." I don't call it arrogant because women who think that a man like Muhammad, who "consummated" his marriage to a 9 year old child when he was 54, is perfect model of humanity and a source of law have been brainwashed. Women who think wife-beating is acceptable if the beating is "light" (as I've…
Wow, great point. Yes, if I had the chance to go to Egypt I would. I would bring several giant boxes of pepper spray though, and I'd pass them out to every woman I met. And I'd use pepper spray on any man that stepped out of line. That is how they learn.
Yes, I've talked with brainwashed Muslim women who think Islam gives them wonderful rights, including many converts actually. They're very deluded and choose not to deal with reality. So I know what I'll read if I read that book.
You've never heard of victim-blaming, I see. The only question you can ask is, why was this woman doing her job? Not, why do men think it's acceptable to do this? Why do men do this? Why is this happening at all? And why am I avoiding questioning male behavior in the first place?
How dare some bitch thinks she has the right to do her job? I mean, really. The next thing you know, they'll want to start voting, driving, working in other jobs with men, walking down the street after sunset.
I'm sorry, do you pay attention do what people talk about when talking about sexual harassment and rape? Women's clothing is always at the center of discussion. Women are presumed to force men to harass and rape based on what they're wearing. Hence, the hijab. Why does it exist in the first place? Apparently, to deter…
Yes, but why is it worst in countries where women cover their hair? Why is it worse in theocracies, where men are piously following the teachings of Islam's prophet?
He's just lying. That's where the disconnect is.
There cannot be Islamic feminism. The Koran (the perfect word of Allah, according to Muslims, and the main source of law) flatly states that men are "a degree above women," that men "excel" and this is why men are allowed to beat their wives (this is in 4:34), this is why male testimony counts twice what women's does…
Yes, and it's also the time for those who think women force men to rape and attack them based on whether or not their have their hair/face/shoulders/ankles/knees/elbows/stomach/etc. covered.
See and I thought the hijab was supposed to solve this problem? Isn't male behavior dependent upon what women wear, and therefore whatever women show of their bodies force men to act?
That is not true. All religions seek to exert political influence, but they are not political systems at their core. The Christian calendar begins at Jesus' supposed birth, not when he established the first Christian state. The Jewish calendar begins at the supposed beginning of the universe, not when Abraham started…
That's because Islam isn't a religion, it's a political ideology. It's been that way literally since day 1 of its calendar, for its whole calendar, and still is today. Islam began when Muhammad started the first Islamic state, and these laws have been in force continually since then. Laws that cover crime, marriage,…
Um...what? You're Muslim and you know Muslim more than me?
I don't really like it when Indonesia is used as an example of how Muslims can be civilized. The case of Alexander Aan, the man who posted that he was an atheist on facebook, then got beaten up, arrested, jailed, and fired from his government job seems to suggest otherwise.
I think it's because they really don't know much about it.
This "cartoon" seems to suggest there are only 2 options in life. A full niqab and abaya, or a tiny bikini. Like there is no medium.
I don't have a problem with hijabs per se, I think they should be allowed legally, because they don't erase a woman's identity or ability to communicate. But, they are based on a false premise and they don't work.
I have a major problem with the burka. It erases a woman's face and makes it impossible to identity or communicate with her. It has no place in Western society, and the motive behind it doesn't really matter.
