I just do the silverware scrape to get the large bits of food off. That’s all it really needs. Also, you have to make sure it’s loaded properly. Nothing wide on the lower rack. It’s what prevents the upper rack stuff from getting clean.

Anyone who grew up in the 80s I think was conditioned to think you needed to pre-rinse the dishes before you put them in there. I don’t do that now but my mom still does despite having a pretty new dishwasher.

Top shelf knifes shouldn’t go in there so you’re right to wash them by hand. The dishwasher will dull them. I made sure everyday glassware and plates and stuff were all dishwasher safe. I’ll wash cooking utensils and even my dishwasher safe food containers by hand but most everything else goes in there.

From what I heard they had no problem with pay cuts but they wanted some of the merchandising. Fox has made a ton of money off this show even if the ratings aren’t what they were 20 years ago.
