Neat idea.. but New Jersey to Oregon is too far.. and it’s an automatic. If it was a stick, I might reconsider. I’d prefer to just fix it up and make it a nice daily driver at some point. OR... swap the motor into my 2000 Passat Wagon (which is the 2.8v6 and a 5sp).

This show is, and always has been, moronic. It’s an insult to the gearhead culture. Heck, it’s not really for gearheads. It’s for armchair gearheads.

FYI... it was a 5sp. There were no 6sp manuals in those things back then.

Thing is, the big GM wagons are going up in value since people have figured out that they’re popular. I found a couple of nice ones only a few hours away, both with asking prices above $8000.

The last thing Tesla needs is the UAW coming in to strong-arm them into all kinds of ridiculous “benefits” like they already do with other manufacturers in the US. Not to mention forcing everybody to pay their union dues, which only go to support Leftwing candidates.

I have to blame cops... as in, people don’t want to stand out to cops so they pick colors to blend in. I do it too. I would love to be able to buy brighter-colored vehicles, but it’s yet another thing to stand out and be a target of overzealous revenue enforcement. As a result, my truck is white and my car is a very

Most cops think they’re above the law... they’re bullies, plain and simple.

I’ve heard it’s possible to buy a $600 beater XJ and go all the way to Moab and back in it... :-p

My parents bought a new 1982 Maxima wagon and that’s why I fell in love with the car. We had it all through high school... my dad finally sold it many years later with over 100k miles on it.

I like these trucks too! I’ve rented Isuzu NPR-based moving vans a few times and loved ‘em. Yeah they were a bit slow, given their 4-liter 4-cyl turbodiesel (175 hp!) but they got good mpg and were well-made and comfy.

I blame BS gov’t regulations for stuff like this. It needs to stay out of this stuff. The market will drive fuel economy if that’s what people want, and so if manufacturers want to sell cars, they will find ways to improve the fuel economy.

I don’t care how great of a deal it is... that color is AWFUL and should never have been offered on that car.

I continue to be adamantly opposed to cops having cars like this. They should all be driving inexpensive cars that get good mileage... not giant gas-hogging SUVs and, Crown Vics, Chargers, etc. Diesel Cruzes would be about right. Paddywagons are fine for hauling in suspects. It’s time they saved taxpayer money rather

Tornados suck! :-p

Umm... and how many off-roading Jeeps still run the old 2.5L 4-cyl? Gearing will make up for a lot.

Um... quite honestly, she had zero impact on them. My mom spent all her time complaining about everything my dad and I ever did and being generally miserable, while making us miserable too.

I don’t blame the guy. The socialist types like her think everything should be free, and if she has disabilities, probably even moreso. AND she’s driving a fucking Camry on top of that. The only thing worse would have been a Prius or Leaf (or i3).

Sorry, I have no “love” for police cars of any kind. These fancy cars exist mainly for one reason — to generate revenue. If it wasn’t all about speeding tickets, cops could get along just fine with normal cars.

I’ve had fast cars... I’m over them. I had more fun in my not-quite-400 hp WRX than I ever did in my 550+ hp blown ‘98 Z28.

I don’t care what others think. But when I see some douchenozzle driving slow in a sports car, I think they’re an asshole who would be better off in a Camry.
